Governor Brings Suit Against Mississippi Today

Former Governor Phil Bryant filed a defamation suit on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 against the CEO of Mississippi Today and the nonprofit corporate owner of the website. Governor Bryant seeks compensatory and punitive damages and attorney’s fees in the case filed in Madison County Circuit Court. He has asked for a jury trial.
